Exports

 NIJ level III and IV rifle rated body armor (Rifle Plates) fall under jurisdiction of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and are subject to the export control laws of the US Government.  

Individual purchasers are responsible for all compliance with United States rules and licensing for exports. For foreign businesses and government contracts, Armored Devices Corporation 

will procure licensing for an added fee.  

Sales Tax

Armored Devices Corporation charges sales tax for merchandise ordered on this Web site based on the applicable state sales tax rate and the location to which the order is being shipped.

Warranties

 Subject to the Limitations and Qualifications contained herewith , ARMORED DEVICES CORPORATION, (ADC) warrants the following:

1)Ballistic Panels, manufactured by ADC, passing ballistic impact tests(NIJ 01.01.06 for Body Armor, NIJ 0108.01 for Ballistic Shields) by accredited laboratories shall pass the ballistic impact test for no less than 30 years from date of delivery from factory.

2)All remaining components of the ballistic system sold to the customer (excluding outer shell covers) shall be warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of sixty (60) months from the date of delivery from factory.

3)The covers(outer shells) on any product shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of delivery from factory.

Some painted products are very difficult to keep scratch free during assembly. For this reason,

Armored Devices Corporation does not guarantee scratch free painted surfaces and it is not a defect in materials or workmanship. Armored Devices Corporation shall have sole right to determine if a non functional problem is a defect in materials or workmanship.

CAUTIONS

Ballistic integrity is compromised and NOT GUARANTEED if more than one shot occurs within 1.25 inches(32mm) from another shot. 

Ballistic integrity is compromised and NOT GUARANTEED if the shot is closer than 1.25 inches(32mm) from any edge.

If the user notices ceramics or fiber covering being loose, the ballistic integrity is compromised

and the ballistic panel must be returned to an authorized repair center.

Ballistic panels must not be stored for extended periods of time over 100F and/or in high humidity environments.

Chemicals, may degrade materials. 

QUALIFICATIONS

If Armored Devices Corporation discovers any cause for recall of products, ADC shall compensate original buyer through a credit for another ADC product by depreciating the current product over a 5 year standard ballistic warranty. Original price of purchase shall be money ADC received for the purchase .

Each ballistic product shall be provided with an owner's manual governing care during use.

Practices provided in the owner's manual must be adhered to.

Damaged products beyond protection against ballistic threats will void the warranty. ADC shall, in  its sole discretion, determine if damage has occurred. Sources of damage include(but not limited to): abuse, breakage, unauthorized repair, non recommended care and abuse. Ballistic testing on any product shall invalidate any and all warranties.

LIMITATIONS

 This limited warranty is valid only for the original purchaser, no other entity. No other warranty is expressed or implied for the products, including statutory, including any implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose , including without limitation or merchantability.

ARMORED DEVICES CORPORATION SHALL IN NO CAUSE HAVE THE LIABILITY OF ADC(INCLUDING LIABILTY OF ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS) EXCEED THE ACTUAL PURCHASE PRICE OF THE BALLISTIC EQUIPMENT THAT GIVES RISE TO THE LIABILITY.

NO EVENT SHALL CAUSE ARMORED DEVICES CORPORATION TO BE LIABLE FOR ANY PUNITIVE, EXEMPLARY OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, LOSS OF PROFITS, ANY OTHER INDIRECT LOSSES,DAMAGES, INCIDENTAL DAMAGES THAT ARISE FROM ANY AND ALL CAUSES RELATING TO THE PRODUCT, WHETHER IN TORT, CONTRACT, STRICT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE.THE TORT INCLUDES NEGLIGENCE.

PURCHASER IS ADVISED THAT ANY RIGHT FOR A TRIAL BY JURY IS TO BE WAIVED DUE TO ANY DISPUTE REGARDING THE LIMITED WARRANTY. ARMORED DEVICES CORPORATION RESERVES THE RIGHT FOR COMPENSATION FOR ANY LEGAL EXPENSES DUE TO ANY DISPUTE BROUGHT UPON ARMORED DEVICES CORPORATION.

Returns: Any claims for warranty repairs must be returned to ADC by first receiving a Return Authorization Number(RAN). Transportation and repair costs will be at the expense of the original buyer if ADC believe the product has been damaged by the purchaser. Armored Devices Corporation reserves the right to cancel any order and refund monies to any purchaser.
